Project Description

Untapped. Fierce. Principled. That is how everyone defines the word Oragon. An adjective which denotes Bicol Region and its people. Never afraid of consequences, always fighting for the greater glory of humanity and bound with firm determination of attaining liberty. But have you ever wondered why are they given this name?
Well, you might think that this is all because of the pleasing nature of Bicol and the Bicolanos in particular. And, they are also blessed with richness in economical, cultural and religious aspects that creates a superb refuge that will surely cultivate better people. Instances that would support this are the Mayon Volcano, a well-known perfect cone eye-catcher not only in our country but for the whole world as well; Caramoan beaches that magnetizes tourists from different places and the resilient devotion of Nagueños to their patroness, Nuestra Sra. de Peñafrancia. All these things wrapped and rooted in Bicol region.
But these things are not the only cause of why they are branded with that word. They also have these fifteen brave men who stood up and sacrificed their lives for the liberty of their native land.
Quince Martires. Or, commonly known as The Fifteen Martyrs. They were the men whose remarkable courage and strength marked the history of the Bicol Region and its heart, Naga City. They were those deity who created mainly completed the brief yet meaningful elaboration of Nagueños and Bicolanos.
The team focused on this topic to relive the long battle that dwelt amongst the Bicolanos during the Spanish regime and how did they cope with the struggle that they are facing. This blog also mirrors the immeasurable audacity that these fifteen courageous men lived with that they were able to stood up through that war; setting aside their reputation and sewing the liberty that they are longing for in the core of their hearts and minds.
